Wow! I was meeting a co-worker in Purcellville but I'm not from there (neither was she). So I texted a friend who recommended Magnolias. I'm so glad she did! The building was quaint and beautiful. It had a historic vibe. I had the filet mignon with bernaise sauce and whipped potatoes. It was absolutely 5 stars delicious. One of the best steaks I've had! Our waiter was fabulous--friendly and attentive and yet never intrusive. We were able to eat and talk without being rushed or interrupted. Outstanding restaurant in all categories!

I definitely suggest trying to make a reservation but my wife and I got lucky and there were cafe tables by the bar open but it's such a beautiful restaurant. The service was prompt and mindful and the food sophisticated and delicious. I probably should have worn something more classy than a Sanrio hoodie but there wasn't a dress code so it's all good. The lobster tempura appetizer sparked my wife and my interest and it was awesome. The waiter told us that it's a hidden gem and doesn't get ordered much which seems almost criminal. It's super delicious. Also the grapefruit and basil martini was super smooth and I could probably down 3 or 4 more... now I'm craving lobster tempura again... sooooo delicious.

I visited this establishment after doing some wine tasting in the area. It's a great family restaurant, with friendly staff, and warm cozy decor. I ordered the crab and artichoke dip as a starter, and it was really good. Real lump crab meat and cheese that pulled. Yummy. For my main course, I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was a good dish, I typically prefer my shrimp grits without the gravy sauce because I like for the grits to stand on their own. But for those who like a gravy sauce, you won't be disappointed.

I would have to say my dinner will be most memorable. I had their special, the swordfish with risotto and I paired it with their Sauvignon Gris. By far the best swordfish dish I have had. Their delicious raspberry bread pudding and donuts is a must have! I cannot wait to come back and try other menu items. Thank you!

Wonderful reception when we arrived for our 10 year anniversary. We were early but they still graciously seated us in a nice spot. The menu was customized with our names for our celebration and that was a first for us. Really nice touch. Brian, our server was knowledgeable, attentive and not overbearing. Very pleasant. The calamari was splendid. The tempura batter was light and crispy and had been sent to our table as soon as it had been cooked. My wife ordered the salmon and loved very bite. The serving size wasn't huge, which is good, and the quality and flavor was spot on. I was a little disappointed by my dish. The scallops were nicely cooked, however the shrimp were terribly overcooked and way way too small. About the size of a dime, with their tails left on. Made it almost impossible to remove the tails. And when you did, there really wasn't much shrimp left to enjoy. For the price charged, this wasn't acceptable, and as much as I'm not going to spoil our evening complaining, I did bring it to Brian's attention. One minor suggestion is that there were slices of raw mange-tout in the dish. They were bitter and served no purpose to the otherwise flavorful dish. Overall a splendid restaurant, excellent service and atmosphere. Some prices a little high, others were about right. I'd come back again for sure. I'd just try something different next time.

Top reasons for my 4 star review: They have a very good reservation system. You arrive and only have to wait for a few minutes until seated The drink menu is big and the pricing is in line with the portion. They have a good selection of beer and wine. Friends and family also enjoyed the cocktails. Service is always good. I've been here numerous times. Staff is consistently good. Only concern is that the plates and glasses are not cleared off. Food is good. Only concern is they only serve one tiny piece of bread for each person. There's no offer for additional bread. Bread is served hot and it would be nice to be given additional bread. Desserts were excellent and all desserts were priced at $9. My only complaint is parking is a pain. The restaurant has a tiny lot. Most of the time we park in the public lot across the street.

This place does not need a Yelp review for locals to know that this place is popping. But here I am! The brunch is so worth it for their prices with a wide variety of items to choose from gravy biscuits to shrimp and grits to yummy cuts of beef. Their specials are so fresh--I got the Maine lobster with shrimp risotto, and it was so creamy. It's also a good price point for really good food that is (generally) locally sourced. They also have special events for fine dining, which seem to be so much fun for a special celebration. Interior is large and lots of seating. They also have a couple of sister restaurants which are also very popular in their own right including Fire Works! Was genuinely very surprised to learn this from their website. Good, very patient, quick service. Definitely recommend to celebrate a special event.

Honestly, really good! I enjoyed my meal here. It's not super fancy, but it sure is a solid choice. Food: Smoked chicken fettuccine 8/10 Filet mignon 7.5/10 Crab cake 8/10 Potatoe au gratin 7/10 Service was great and the food came out at a fairly reasonable time. The ambiance is nice, you could come here for a special celebration or for a casual hangout.

Magnolia's at the Mill is a nicer restaurant in the Purceville Area that's a great place to take someone that's important to you out to eat. It's super easy to make reservations online or by calling them. Additionally, there's a free parking lot both in front of the restaurant and slanted 2-hour parking behind the restaurant. Inside the restaurant, there's eclectic/rustic decor - a lot of winery/mill related pieces. There's seating at a bar, seating for a larger party, and small table seating as well. Our waitress was nice - she read us the specials and made recommendations on drinks and food. The food is a bit expensive here and the portions of certain dishes are small, but the quality is great. The ingredients used are fresh and are cooked well. The menu has a good variety of dishes that's conducive for a more refined palate. I'd recommend this restaurant for a work dinner/client meeting or catching up with older family members.
